Overcharging and job done poorly
Awful experience, tried to half do the job and had to get Carlton back to finish it. Have just found out that the floor needs to be screeing again as it is not level, and that Carlton overcharged as the quote I received from this company is 1-200 pounds less then what Carlton charged. Hi Domonic sorry to here of your dissatisfaction of the self levelling of your subfloor,but I don’t understand the job was done on the 24/07/2925 and you paid im full £600.00 to supply self levelling compound labour 8 months ago,Friday evening 6th February 2026 as I was leaving to go away for the weekend,you said another company said it wasn’t good enough and that I should have changed you between £400 to £500 and if I don’t give you your £600 pounds back you’ll do a bad review on Checkatrade,I said I get back to you on Monday to talk about it, but you just did a bad review anyway

Carlton did a great job on our floor, he was quick and communicative, as well as flexible. He was very good at explaining what he was doing and why and giving us options.
