Life Changing renovation works
We were lucky enough to find James and the team at Catt Construction to carry out a major renovation at our home, including knocking through walls to create a large family room. From start to finish, James and his team were professional, friendly and incredibly respectful of the fact that we were living in the house throughout the work. With children going to school and the usual day-to-day family life going on, they were always considerate, tidy and easy to have around. James was always happy to offer his professional advice and personal opinion when we needed it, and we felt supported throVerified reviewerJob location: BN2710 Extensions / Conversions

Kitchen Lounge & Bathroom Extension
We used Catt Construction for a 24ft kitchen lounge extension . He had to remove an existing conservatory and undertake extensive ground work. Jim the owner of the company kept us informed of how the work would proceed and was on site. His employees arrived punctually every day and really worked hard. The site was left tidy everyday. Jim is really amazing at coordinating the trades people who were required to complete the work, roofers, plasterer, plumber, electrician kitchen fitter & carpenter which all seemed to flow seamlessly. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.Verified reviewerJob location: TN37Response from Catt Construction Ltd

Excellent service from start to finish
James and his team did a lot of work for us. Including landscaping our large garden, building a patio, undertaking a garage conversion into a dining room, block paving / laying a cobbled driveway and building a porch. I thoroughly recommend James. Excellent attention to detail, he consulted us along every step of the way, and he and his team were really hard working and considerate. He was recommended to us and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to other people. Excellent all round.Verified reviewerJob location: BN22Response from Catt Construction Ltd

Catt Construction Ltd is a family-run building company based in Hailsham, covering East Sussex and the surrounding areas.
I’m James Catt, the owner of Catt Construction. I’ve worked in the building industry for over 27 years, with more than 25 years specialising in brickwork, and hold NVQ Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Advanced Craft Brickwork. I established my own building business in 2010, which became Catt Construction Ltd in 2023.
We specialise in extensions, renovations and refurbishments, alongside structural alterations, brickwork, landscaping and general building projects.
My approach has always been simple: do the job properly, communicate well with the customer and take pride in the finished result. I work with a trusted team of experienced tradespeople and subcontractors, allowing us to manage projects from the initial groundwork and structural work through to completion.
As Catt Construction continues to grow, our focus remains on taking on a manageable number of quality projects rather than simply trying to do as much work as possible. This allows me to stay personally involved in our projects, oversee the important details and make sure our customers receive the standard of workmanship and service I expect from my company.
Whether you’re planning an extension, renovating your home or looking for an experienced local builder to take care of a smaller project, we’re always happy to discuss your ideas and provide straightforward, practical advice.
