The dedication, enthusiasm, pride & attention to detail of Grahame, Roger & Olly was obvious in the way progress was explained throughout as decades-long gable end damp required the removal of render inside and out and the insertion of a French drain. Brickwork was exposed to dry naturally before remedial work was carried out. All is now completely dry with an impressive finish. Grahame’s solutions are permanent not cosmetic. I cannot recommend this company enough: craftsmanship and pride with a lifetime of deep knowledge across every aspect of their trade. As their client I came first.

Graeme and Olly worked tirelessly despite it being the hottest day of the year. They encountered lots of additional problems along the way caused by a previous bodge job but they overcame each and everyone. Work was completed perfectly and the clean up job afterwards was way more than I expected ( they even cleaned the windows )!! They were both so friendly they were really a pleasure to have around. I initially contacted Grahame about suspected subsidence, but he was able to more accurately assess the issue and highlight a lot more that I was unaware of. He explained the problems to me really clearly as well as how he would fix them. He and his team installed a new window for us as well as installing new UPVC trims for an older window. Really happy with the work, thank you!

Both our front and back doors needed replacing. Grahame came over with a brochure so we could decide the style of door we liked. He then ordered the door and let us know when it was ready to install. The install was complicated, as we have a wooden surround on the front. Grahame and his team, removed it all, repaired and repainted it, fit the new door and put everything back in place. It looks perfect! The back was easier and took way less time. After the job was finished, a week or so later, he checked in to ensure the doors were fine.

This was the second job Chalcroft Builders have completed for me. I was advised to have lead flashing on my kitchen roof replaced/upgraded however the weather was not kind but on the first good day the works were undertaken and completed to a very high standard. The work area was tidied, swept and left clear. The flashing leaves the roof looking finished and well maintained. I highly recommend this company who display good knowledge of all aspects of house building/maintenance and can explain things well to help understanding of the job. Thank you.
