Jimmy came to look at the roof. He made it clear that, although the leak can be repaired, it would be better to replace he whole roof. We weren't convinced. We had another company coming to have a look at the roof that same day and they completely disagreed with Jimmy's advice. They informed us our roof is in good condition and apart from a small repair, it didn't need anything else. We received a quote the same day from that company, but not one from Jimmy. We wonder if that was because he was not able to sell us a new roof. What a waste of time that was.

I got this company's name from the Dulwich and Forest Hill Checkatrade Directory . I have two leaking drainpipes , apparently due to them having come loose from their clips. One needs urgent attention. The man from Chaps Roofing came, agreed to do the job and clear my gutters, we agreed a price and arranged a time for it to be done. He neither came nor contacted me nor replied to a phone call. This is exactly what one does not expect. Unfortunately he is the only gutter repairer in the Directory and so I will have to look elsewhere..

James and his team did an outstanding job for my aunty. At 98 and living two hours away from me, it was difficult to oversee the repairs to her roof. James was incredibly considerate and helpful. He sent me photos of the extensive damage and clearly explained what needed to be done. He even put temporary protection in place on a Sunday and returned Monday to complete the job in one day—to a very high standard, the work was so neat. My aunty was absolutely delighted, especially with how beautifully everything was tidied up. (see before & after photos attached). Thank you James and team.

James from Chaps Roofing went up on our roof and explained in great detail, with photos, that the problem was not moss on our roof as we had thought. Instead he recommended a new roof. We accepted his recommendation. James and his team were meticulous and highly professional in their approach to the work and they were all very likeable. We were kept up to date with progress on the job and they even finished ahead of schedule. Highly recommended

Assessed job and gave me a quote quickly. Due to start on Wednesday but called to say rain was expected so rescheduled to the Friday. Arrived on Friday and found additional repairs, quote doubled but I was happy to get the repairs done so we re-arranged the start date for 10 days later (12/8/25) - did not turn up. No call or no text just didn’t turn up.

James and he’s team carried out repairs to roof fascia’s and guttering and chimney.they were punctual,polite and professional,kept me informed and explained everything in detail,very tidy workers.and would recommend James and he’s team to anyone.done a great job very pleased and would not hesitate to use them again.
