    Professional, reliable and do what they say they will do.

    Chris has recently made us some wardrobe doors and fixed the floorboards in one room. We are very happy with the finished results. Chris provided a very friendly and professional service at a competitive price. Communication with Chris and his office staff was excellent , friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend.

    Fantastic carpenter

    What a find! Chris is not only a great carpenter, he's also a thoroughly lovely bloke. He was thoughtful and thorough in his approach, helping us finalise our designs before any work began. Chris created bespoke cabinets and storage for us in the hallway, dining room and living room, and we absolutely love them. He also made sure to leave the house tidy at the end of each day. Highly recommend!

    Great job my a fantastic and friendly builder

    Chris (and his dad) did an amazing job removing an old canopy and fitting a new one. Chris came promptly, gave us a reasonable quote. Even helped us find and buy the new canopy. Waited until it was delivered and gave us a quick date for installation. Communication with Chris and his team was excellent with prompt responses to emails etc. He worked quickly and efficiently. Overall he did a fantastic job which we are very pleased with.

    Unbeatable media unit

    Chris built us a bespoke media unit and book shelving unit that we're extremely happy with. Chris is a true professional and worked hard to make sure every small detail was to our liking. He is a true gent and was a pleasure to have in the house during the construction. Would highly recommend.

Hello, my name is Chris Lyle, and I have been a fully qualified carpenter for 19 years. At Chris Lyle Carpentry, we take immense pride in our professional, tailored approach to each and every job we undertake.


I began my career on a year’s foundation course at Oakland's Colleges, moving on to a two-year apprenticeship with a small local business. I committed to working for them for just over six years in total, maintaining a great working relationship with them still, and even helping do the odd job now and again.


It was here that I was given the time and encouragement to hone my craft and learn to become the adaptable tradesman that I am


For the last few years, CLC has been going from strength to strength.
