  We would highly recommend Chris to anyone looking for a carpenter! He had excellent communication throughout the quote and job. He was prompt and very pleasant and polite. His carpentry is lovely quality. He asked us lots of questions about exactly how we wanted the furniture and we felt he really listened to us and the final product was exactly what we were after - thank you so much!!

  Chris is a hard worker and a perfectionist who loves a cup of tea whilst working. As soon as he arrives he unloads his tools and gets on with the job. He is a nice chap who's work is out standing and loves a chuckle while he work. We are so pleased with Chris' work that we have asked him back next year for another big job. Thanks Chris.

• It doesn't get better than this

  What I hope for in a tradesman is competency, experience and reasonably priced. Thereafter good communication, punctuality and skill are a great bonus. Chris has all of these and probably more. Excellent communication from the start saw us agree on a suitable date and price for the job. Chris was always on time and flexible to my needs and carried out his work with professionalism. He offered some great advice on other aspects of my project and gave superb attention to detail when finishing off my doors and tidying up. Chris is a highly skilled craftsman which is highly recommended.

• Repair of timber casement window

  Chris repaired a wooden window that was in danger of falling apart because of a failing joint. He also painted a couple of hard-to-reach sills. A nice man who did a brilliant job. The window works perfectly. We'll certainly be asking him again the next time we want any carpentry done.

• Built-in bookcase

  Chris answered our advert for a carpenter to design and install a floor-to-ceiling bookcase on our u-shaped stairs, scaling a 3.5m wall. We could not be more delighted with Chris' work, which is exquisite. It has transformed the space. Chris was wonderful to have around the house, working diligently, flexibly, considerately and quickly. He is communicative and so friendly and his prices very competitive. I would not hesitate to have Chris back or to recommend him and his wonderful craftsmanship. You will not be disappointed!
