    Claire kindly squeezed our project in at quite short notice as we have a baby coming and the whole experience was so easy and stress free. She provided multiple options and really listened to what we wanted, and each stage of the design process was very efficient and professionally done.

    We engaged Claire Haigh Ass. To draw up plans for a hip to gable loft conversion and ground floor extension. We requested they submit and oversee the application through to approval of the plans. During our meetings Claire was friendly and approachable while maintaining her professionalism. Claire offered sensible advice but ensured she had a good understanding of our requirements. Claire was recommended to us and we found the process so trouble free have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone requiring her services.

    Working with Claire was a pleasure from start to finish. She took time to find out about why and how we wanted to use the space and came up some great suggestions as to how that could best be achieved. She was happy to talk through lots of different options with us, and took us through the planning and building regs applications. She has also been able to share recommendations for structural drawings, builders and designers that she's worked with before - she's very well connected. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Claire.

    We were very grateful to have Claire working on the plans for our kitchen extension. As well as coming up with a design that fitted our brief, she helped to guide us through all the steps involved in getting structural plans and building regs approval. This is the first building project we've been involved in, so her expertise was invaluable. Claire was also very easy to communicate with and was friendly and approachable throughout the project.

Company info

Claire Haigh became an RIBA Chartered Architect in 1990 and after many years working on large projects here and abroad, she set up her own business in 2002. Due to increasing workload she was joined in 2006 full time by her husband, an experienced Architectural Designer and together they formed Claire Haigh Associates Ltd.

We provide architectural plans and local authority approvals for your project. We have a wealth of experience of working on both small domestic schemes and multi million-pound contracts. Your project begins with a discussion about the possibilities followed by a measured survey and feasability scheme. We will then apply for planning, lawful development certificate or prior approval followed by building regulations where appropriate. We do not work on site but if you need further assistance, we can help you find Contractors, Consultants and Project Managers to monitor the contract works for you. We work on all size and types of projects from roof conversions, extensions, listed buildings and new houses, refurbishments, flat conversions, and work in Conservation areas. We currently take part in local Planning Agents Forums around Sussex and LABC workshops.
