COVID 19 UPDATE
Thank you to all our loyal clients who have been supporting us during these unprecedented times. As many of you know we have been working from our home office for the last 19 years so for us it is 'business as usual'. Following the latest Government guidelines we are now be able to start carrying out Measured Surveys again, we have put in place health and safety measures to ensure that this is done as safely as possible for all parties. We will carry out a risk assessment of your property and discuss it with you prior to the visit. Any future meetings will be held using remote working tools.
To prevent the spread of Covid 19 we are not making unnecessary visits to your house at the moment, but we can do virtual visits if you want to skype us and we are still working on current projects. If you would like to book an appointment for a skype meeting, please email us.
Claire Haigh became a Chartered Architect in 1990 and set up her own business in 2002, she was joined in 2006 full time by her husband, an experienced Architectural Designer and together they formed Claire Haigh Associates Ltd.
We provide architectural plans and local authority approvals for your project. We have a wealth of experience of working on both small domestic schemes and multi million-pound contracts. Your project begins with a discussion about the possibilities followed by a measured survey and feasability scheme. We will then apply for planning, lawful development certificate or prior approval followed by building regulations where appropriate. We do not work on site but if you need further assistance, we can help you find Contractors, Consultants and Project Managers to monitor the contract works for you.
We work on all size and types of projects from roof conversions, extensions, new houses, refurbishments, flat conversions, shop and office applications, listed buildings. We are currently taking part remotely in local Planning Agents Forums and LABC workshops across Sussex.

Re-design and planning approval for two flats in listed building making use of all available space.
Claire's design made clever use of all the available space giving a contemporary result while remaining sympathetic to the original structure and meeting stringent listed planning consents. Claire handled all aspects of the works applications on our behalf and made the process feel efficient and, from our perspective, effortless. Claire has been extremely easy to communicate and work with, attentive and mindful to our requests and taste. We recommend her very highly and would certainly ask for her help again with any future project.
Loft. Conversion
Claire is friendly, patient and willing to listen to our ideas. She works very efficiently and response to us almost immediately. Thanks to her guidance, the process from applying to getting the lawful development certificate is so smooth. She also recommended a very good builder to us. Architectural plans for kitchen / diner extension
With this being the first time we have embarked on major building work on our home, my wife and I were somewhat nervous on getting the ball rolling - we needn't have been! Claire has been absolutely fantastic, from the initial contact over email, to the first site visit and subsequent Zoom calls, through to the final plans being produced. Always so friendly, quick to repond, offering advice and working with our ideas. We're delighted with the service we have received, and can't wait to get the builders on site this spring to put the plans into reality!
Drawings for rear extension / full refurbishment of property
I'd worked with Claire on a previous project and had no hesitation in using her again. She took time to understand what I was trying to achieve, and made great suggestions around improving energy efficiency in particular, and increasing light to the property.

Claire was great, she really listened to our ideas and then came up with lots of suggestions. She totally guided us through the whole process. She also linked in with other agencies involved and helped to keep the momentum going. Claire responded to all our questions and queries and was an absolute delight to work with.
Preliminary feasibility study into building ground floor extension
Claire carried out a short study into the feasibility of building a ground floor extension at the side of the house. She did not charge for this.
