In the beginning.....Hello my name is Carrick Grayken the Managing Director of CSG Plastics. I would like to take some time to tell you about me and how our company started.

I started as a young apprentice at the age of 16 learning all aspects of the upvc roofline, window and conservatory industry. Once I had learnt all there was to know about the trade I decided to take the plunge and set up my own company at the young age of 21 without any scaffolding, not a great deal of tools, a rackety old van and no advertising budget in place. We didn't have a website and only had 1 job booked in......5 years later and we now have a seven strong team of well trained installers, 3 vans on the road, all our own top of the range Easy Dec scaffolding and the best tools you can buy. We have a company website, a marketing budget in place and built up one of the best reputations in the surrounding area. I still remain out on site with the rest of our employees as I am very hands on and like to get my hands dirty. We are a very reliable, hard working team that will do what ever it takes to make sure the job is completed with attention to the customers needs, attention to detail, minimum fuss and at the right price.

How was this achieved?

Very hard work, experienced and dedicated staff, offering a great product at a great price with fantastic service and a determination to succeed. In the past 2 years, in the middle of a recession, we have grown 50%, this doesn’t happen without doing an excellent job. There have been many changes in the last 5 years. The obvious examples are continual re-investment and product development which includes the latest Plan A Window, (+4) A-Rated window. The top specification Kestrel Fascias with the biggest colour fade guarantee on the market of 25 years. The safe and secure A-rated composite doors, the traditional sliding sash windows and the ultra modern bi-folding doors all in a range of colours and styles.

Please, please, be careful when spending your money, there are many companies trading who survive from one job to the next due to there massive over heads and huge wages bill. When having your Fascias replaced there are many companies that will tell you they are taking off all the old wood but will in fact just clad straight over which is just covering over the problem whereas we rip off everything and start again.

Schemes.We have recently been chosen to appear on BBC’s DIY SOS. The big build. We helped put the double glazing in an old church in order to house homeless teenagers and get their lives back on track. An extremely proud moment in our companies history. 

Products.We believe that if your going to do a job for someone there is only one way to do it and that's to do it to the highest of standards. We only use the best products on the market and that is because they come with the highest guarantees.
