I have paid an upfront 50%. Everything went well, at the biggining. The problems started when they start to put the new floor and wall tiles, at this stage I have paid the other half of the money on request. Next day I realised that the floor and wall tiles are not installed correctly and had a serious conversation with the them. Since then, all the other bits they done were wrong, they just rush up to finish the day and left me in a mess, they don't even bother to answer the phone after. I had to take off the furniture, tiles, etc and do it again with other people. I would not recommend.
