  • Damp proofing in dining room

    We had a rising damp patch on multiple walls in our dining room and Kevin came to take a look at it. He did a damp proofing course on three walls but was honest that on one of the walls it would be more of a precaution rather than necessary and gave us a choice. We found him to be transparent about what he was doing, tidy when in the house and very polite to deal with.

    Invoice was received 10am on 20/4/23 at least 3 days after visit was booked. Started getting chased for payment in less than 24 hours even although I replied as the invoice was wrong (wrong VAT calculation). Visit was classed during the discussion as a ‘survey’ with very little surveying done. In comparison with a second survey I got done for free and will ultimate allocate the works to, I received a map outlining the works required and the damp meter readings at various points along the wall on the free survey. No meter reading etc., used and ultimately it cost £90 to say "it's damp".
