  We recently had DBE Contracting carry out the electrical works for our AC units, and couldn't be happier with the service. Communication was clear and consistent from our very first enquiry right through to completion. The work itself was completed to a high standard and finished within the agreed timeframe.   Electrical Installation Condition Report - Safety Checks - EICR

  New build electricals

  DBE Contracting undertook the electrical installation of everything in my new build including wiring in my air source heat pump. The work was carried out efficiently, professionally and with full communication as to what was happening at all times. The firm fully met by requirements and were able to advise fully and interpret my wishes to give me exactly what I needed and gave several suggestions that have enhanced the facilities that I have. Would fully recommend.

  Thankyou for your feedback. A replacement pull cord was fitted to a ceiling in a poorly ventilated bathroom with mould on ceilings and walls. I advised to rewire to a wall but was refused by customer, which later pulled off the ceiling, I refunded the customer for the work done as a good will gesture. As for the switch - The existing dimmer switch was faulty. Once agreed with the customer this was changed for a standard switch to get the light working. Please consider the impact of leaving unfair negative reviews on small local businesses, this can have a big impact on gaining future work.

  Smoke Alarms

  Probably a good electician, but I found Dan to be inflexible and unhelpful. We had a temporarilly spare bedroom in an HMO which 3 tenants were therefore using to chill in. Despite clear indication that the house and bedroom would soon be fully occupied once more with new student tenants he insisted that the room should be included in the linked smoke alarms and would not issue an approporiate certificate.

  Thankyou for your feedback. Here at DBE Contracting we pride ourselves on our work and compliance. Unfortunately we could not issue a certificate that doesn't comply with current regulations, this was the reason for not issuing a fire alarm certificate.
