Mr Alan David of “Decorative Restorations” Agreed to do the following: Lounge ceiling – fill large cracks and paint if necessary. (This was the main job); damp patches X 2, 2 legs on breakfast counter; silicone in windows; tiling in downstairs bathroom. We arranged 11 and 12 May 19 for the works – cost of £300. Prior to arrival Sun 12/05/19; having text me to say he was going to arrive later than agreed we spoke and I voiced the lounge would need painting. He agreed on arrival this day i.E. It needed painting. However, he didn’t paint the lounge ceiling, so the cracks stand out and the work looks unfinished and unsatisfactory. This was endorsed by two other professional decorators
Response from Decorative Restorations
I am very sorry to hear that this customer feels they must give me a bad review. Unfortunately, I cannot share their opinion. If I thought there was a way to resolve this issue, I would be happy to help, but I must stand by my morals on this one. On quoting for the job, I advised them that they would be better to skim the ceiling or leave it alone. Both options were turned down and on arriving at the job to paint it, as previously asked, I was then asked if it was possible to just patch it up and do some other jobs while I was there... which I agreed to and carried out.
