Terrible work, bad communication and left a very bad taste in the mouth. After 2 days, and a quoted 2 coats, he advised that a further day's work was required for a 3rd coat costing over GBP500. Upon inspection, found some litter around the house. Specifically asked for a particular paint (2 coats should be enough to cover even a different coloured layer). We found a watery finish, wall paint that had spilled over on to the ceiling and some hidden areas totally untouched. Decided to finish the job ourselves. No paint left behind. This tells me that he watered it down to make it last. Avoid!

We quoted the work before the customer had chosen the colour and it is standard practice to quote for 2 coats. When we started to apply the second coat to the walls, it was clear that the paint wasn’t covering the original colours and would require a 3rd coat. We asked the customer to come and see that the second coat wasn’t covering. The customer chose almond white which is very light and we had some strong colour to go over. Everything was filled, sanded down properly and there was no paint splashes on anything, the workmanship was up to standard. It is just a case of light paint not covering dark colours. The accusation that we watered down the paint is ridiculous, we do not want to paint walls 3 times! The customer was very abusive, X rated and unreasonable. We do not like to leave a job unfinished so we offered to buy more paint and apply a 3rd coat but there would be a charge for that. The customer didn’t want us to do that. Our other reviews show that we take our job seriously and are not in the habit of leaving bad quality work
