Downham Cleaning Service

Downham Cleaning Service started business in 1968. We are a family firm based in Downham Market. In the early days, our main work entailed office cleaning and floor maintenance. As carpeted flooring began to take over from hard floors, we began to concentrate on the cleaning of carpets, upholstery and rugs. Today we also apply fabric and fibre protection treatments, moth proofing applications, insecticide treatments. These are  the services we provide and which we concentrate on.

We give free estimates, cover an area within an approximate 30 mile radius of Downham Market and pride ourselves on giving an excellent service at a reasonable price.

John joined the National Carpet Cleaners Association in 1996, after passing it's entrance examinations in carpet and upholstery cleaning. Was invited to join the board of Directors some years later and served on the board for twelve years, ten of which as Standards and Fair Trading Director. In 2017 was made an Honorary Member of The National Carpet Cleaners Association.

Paul, John's eldest son, has attended the ALLTEC carpet cleaning course, taught by the National Carpet Cleaners Association's instructor.

We both work together in this family business.
