The budget cost was based on the information provided to us. We stressed that we couldn’t provide a fixed cost due to not knowing the extent of the building works that were being carried out by others and you received what we considered to be accurate indication. I can’t confirm if this was passed onto you. When carrying out the work it became evident that the routing of the cable was different to what we anticipated and a joint box was required to be installed in the floor space; this took additional time. As did the requirement to carry out the additional work changing the switch you requested. Regarding turning up unannounced and an abortive call charge. We don’t turn up unannounced, that simply wouldn’t make good business sense, you were also not charged an abortive call fee. We did, however, agree to come back later in the day to suit your needs as well as graciously providing you a reduction in your bill.
