John arrived and assessed the work to be carried out and quoted. To remove and replace fencing that runs along the top of a 15ft retaining wall, we stated that part of the existing fence will be left that backs onto a pigeon house and the new run will run in front of that, the drop from the top of our neighbours wall to our garden was assessed by John and he stated that he could complete the work WITHOUT scaffolding. We accepted his quote. Over a month later on the morning of work John told us, " there is no way I can complete without scaffolding", it's dangerous", apologised and promptly left
