Evolve charge an hourly rate for giving an estimate for the job and for time spent in buying the necessary parts.
The plumber who arrived seemed both surprised and annoyed that I wanted an estimate before he started.
The job seemed simple but the plumber had difficulty in isolating the issue.
It was charged as a “call out”. An appointment was made several days in advance, not a call out.
