  Firstly, Michael was prompt to return my call and arrange a time to view the job (complete contrast to a local ‘reputable’ roofing company - I felt like I was having to chase them!). He explained what he felt needed to be done, problems that might arise and provided me with a very competitive quote. As a customer I was kept in the loop re: start times, things they found as the job progressed (we needed extra work on the parapet walls and stacks). His team are polite, work very hard and are tidy. Overall very satisfied with what was a big job. The neighbours are impressed as well!

  Finestone did an great job weatherproofing and painting the front of our house. The quote was competitive, the workmanship was excellent and everyone I met from the team was friendly and personable. They left zero mess for me to clean up too. I'd definitely recommend their services.

• Velux windows and roof overhaul

  We first arranged for Finestone to move and replace the units of some velux windows in our loft extension. They carried this out extremely efficiently and to a good standard. When up on the roof they identified that our roof overall was in quite a poor condition, which they demonstrated to us with photos. They quoted for an overhaul of the roof, which we took them up on and they also completed very efficiently. Overall we were really impressed by Finestone's work ethic and quality. We also found Michael and his team very easy to deal with. Would definitely recommend.

• Re-painting exterior of a terraced house.

  Finestone responded within a day or so of placing the work request on Checkatrade. They turned up promptly on day agreed to quote, which was then emailed to me later that day. A week later they started and a team of three completed all the required work within a day and half. The work was carried out neatly and to a good standard given the speed at which they worked. Overall I am happy with company and the completed work which should hopefully last a good few years.
