Piled raft foundation
WARNING - Able Piling came over to build a piled raft foundation due to subsidence to the conservatory. However, their equipment leaked oil onto my driveway and despite attempts to clean it, only resulted in 3 large white stains to the tarmac. Then the drilling equipment broke a large 3" piece of the plastic from the French doors door sill. I emailed the pictures showing that there was no damage before they arrived and the damage after and was told that all it showed was I hadn't protected my property. To clarify, before we commence works on any site our clients are made aware of what we require to carry out our works. There are several terms and conditions in our offer letter and order acknowledgment letters, both are attached for your information. Protection of any areas we will be working in, is one of them. This is further outlined to our clients before we start on site by our Contracts team. We are surprised that we have had this response from this client, since we returned to site to address the very small oil spill and in actual fact the crew went back in their own time as well to help, not only did they clear the oil spill, they also cleaned other areas of the site that we had not worked on.
