Roland proposed a cost-effective design to meet our brief of a low maintenance space that improved the 'kerb appeal' of the house. He asked what our budget was and, although it was limited, designed things to fit perfectly. The work was well-organised and done quickly and efficiently. Roland and his friendly team checked daily that we were happy with how things were going and gave progress updates. The final result is attractive and easy to keep tidy.

Roland and his team were excellent. From initial quote (Roland actually came a couple of times with samples and then again to ensure everything was agreed) to the work carried out and transparency around costs, we cannot fault his approach, workmanship and professionalism. Typically, we had bad weather but this didn’t impede the speed or quality of the work. Really impressive how efficient everything was and how personable he was. Garden is transformed for a reasonable amount. Roland even gifted us some plants from his own garden to get us started! Highly recommend.

Having used Roland a few years ago to lay paving slabs for our patio we had no hesitation in asking him to build a deck to compliment his previous work. Roland at Gardening Matters has been helping us maintain our garden and fence for five years as we are renting the property and live overseas. He has done a great job of repairing our fence which required new panels and new posts and maintaining the back including digging out the bamboo roots of a bamboo invasion from another garden. He has also helped us to tidy up, maintain and replant borders etc. We are always pleased with the work and the price is very reasonable.
