Replace central heating boiler
Initially things went well until completion and there was a disagreement as he fitted all outside pipes in black. All existing people piping was white. His solution was to try to charge £350+ for changing. We finally compromised to get a solution and pad 50% of requested figure. In May when heating was switched off. We discovered that the system would not work on just water heating. After repeated requests to come out, he eventually turned up in June and reported that what he needed to make it work. Baxi Boiler repaired
Have had a troublesome boiler for most of the year - kept locking out and would not stay on. Tried to organise a gas engineer to take a look but most were too busy or offered long waiting times and/or very high charges. Rang Gas Mark 1, spoke to Andy who came the same afternoon. He diagnosed the problem, ordered the part there and then and came the following day to fit it. Minor adjustment was needed which was completed the same afternoon. Couldn't fault the workmanship, the quick response or the sheer professional service given. First Fix of a new Boiler and Central Heating System
Very Poor Workmanship on First Fix Central Heating System The boiler was not connected to the gas, condensate or water pipes (yet the gas safety certificate had been issued?) The flue was sloping down, the wrong way up and did not go past the seal, so products of combustion would have leaked back into the house, extremely dangerous. The pipework above and below the boiler had to be completely redone. The pipes to the manifold upstairs were not cut or connected properly, did not have inserts and were not clipped down. Pipes were left hanging from the ceiling and sticking out of the skirting but not ready for a radiator to be installed. The front of the boiler was not attached, had been completely bent and the screws were missing. The condenser pipe was not connected and the elbow was missing. Pipes were not laid before suspended floor was replaced and plastering completed, so the new floor and plastering had to be damaged to lay the pipes which should have already been done. Boiler repair and service

Condensing Boiler: Part replaced, serviced and cleaned.
Friendly and efficient service provided by Andy. Worked around my availability and left the bathroom very clean and tidy, tidying up as he went. Boiler has been spot on since he completed his work.
