    Tracing and fixing a cold water mains leak under the kitchen floor.

    The tracing process was carried out in a professional and thorough manner and the leak efficiently fixed. Greg then left the kitchen area as clean and tidy as possible given that the pipe work was under concrete. I would highly recommend Gate Leak Detection.

    Contacted after Reading reviews on here and Trustpilot. We were at the extreme end of the geography covered but Greg was very happy to attend the following week (we were away for a few days so I didn't ask if he could attend at very short notice) In summary he arrived on time, was courteous, professional and very thorough, found the leak under a kitchen cupboard and under the floor and fixed it. He was here for nine hours. Consequently, the fee seemed reasonable given the time taken and the expertise and equipment deployed. Glad we contacted Greg as our local plumber couldn't find the leak.

    Hi Tim, Leak detection is quite a niche industry and, at times, we do have to travel as we cover the whole of the South East. That’s all part of our daily routine and never an issue for us. On paper, hearing that there was a large hissing noise sounded ideal. As a leak detection company, when a customer tells us that, we naturally think the job is going to be fairly straightforward. Unfortunately for us, this one wasn’t quite so simple! Your handmade bespoke kitchen certainly added to the challenge, but I’m really pleased we were able to gain access to the leak with minimal damage

    water pressure issue due to leak in heating network

    Quick summary of issue - low water pressure issue with boiler, which turned out to be a leak in the heating network vs boiler. Initially booked a mainstream company to find and fix leak in heating network, who informed me the issue was with boiler, not network, which was an incorrect assessment. I booked Gate leak detection (with the help of AI) and they found the leak and fixed it. What stood out for me were 2 things (i) engineer was competent in fixing leaks within heating network (ii) engineer had tools/ equipment for the job.

They have to meet a huge demand for work, and unfortunately the quality and competency of the engineers can vary.     Amazing Professional company

    I'm very happy with the work and customer service that was provided. Everything was smooth from start to finish and was very easy to book the appointment in a timely manner. I was very happy with the work that Richie carried out to detect and fix the water leak with very little damage to kitchen floor. Would definitely recommend if you need a water leak repaired.

    Fixing a leak in the central heating system

    Greg was fantastic in fixing the issue with my central heating. Very communicative before doing the job, transparent about the prices (giving a flat quote at the start unlike many companies) and very swift at finding and fixing the issue. Will definitely be recommending Gate to anyone else who encounters the same issue!

    Hi Callum, I thought this would be more awkward than first anticipated. With the flooring containing voids where tracer gas was escaping in several different areas, along with the DPM, it made locating the exact source more challenging. Thankfully, we managed to pinpoint the leak and remove just a single section of flooring. Due to the flooring build-up, the investigation could easily have become far more invasive, so we did well to keep disruption to a minimum.

    What a fantastic company

    Greg, the owner, was absolutely fantastic. He quickly identified and fixed my leak, and then stayed until 9pm to make sure everything was fully sorted and my family were completely up and running again. He’s personable, professional, and incredibly thorough — genuinely leaving no stone unturned. It’s rare to find this level of dedication and care. I can’t recommend Greg highly enough.
