Single storey extension
I used GBF construction to build a single story rear extension with a downstairs toilet. When Graham and team got started with the extension Graham was very clear with the planned stages of work. Graham and his team were all very polite and a pleasure to have in the house and always left the place tidy. We uncovered a structural suprise during the works but Graham was able to advise and fix the problem with extra steelwork. Graham delt with building control through the build aswell. I would definitely recommend GBF to anyone. I shall be using GBF for future project's
Internal wall removed and RSJ installed
We contacted GBF at the beginning of January about our building works. This involved removing an internal wall and putting in an RSJ. From the start we found Graham and his team very helpful and reliable. The works were carried out on time and with minimal disruption, which was great as we were living in the house while the work was being carried out. I would not hesitate in recommending GBF for any building work you need.
Single storey first floor extension
Graham and his team worked really well on a challenging project where the ground floor was retained and a single storey extension built above. In comparison to other builders he had ideas that enabled us to retain more of the downstairs walls, doors and windows than anticipated saving time and money. He was proactive in solving problems and good at communicating daily activities.

We are extremely happy with our extension. Graham and team were really professional, friendly and took pride in their work - and the proof is in the end result, which gets lots of positive feedback (including on detailing such as the quality of the brickwork). The key for us was that Graham was always responsive, positive and communicated clearly through every stage of the job. It was also reassuring how effective Graham was at managing to the original estimate during challenging times. We’d happily recommend and use GBF again in the future!
Removal of load bearing wall and installation of support steelwork.
Graham provided an excellent service from start to finish. Works were completed in the timeframe and for the money agreed initially to a very good standard. Graham also liaised with building control so I had nothing to worry about.
Garden patio and astro turf laid
Graham and his team did an excellent job of laying a matching patio to the one we already had (sourcing the Indian stone we wanted), put a new border around the garden edge to our exact measurements and wishes, amended a couple of laid bricks which I personally didn't like the look of (I know!), and laid the astro turf which we had chosen from the samples he gave us before the job started. All in all a great job and finish to the garden. Happy to share pictures. The team were also very tidy, clearing up as they went along and were all very polite too.
Single storey rear/side extension
Graham and his team have just completed a side/rear extension on our house. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable/trustworthy builder. A great team of guys and special thanks to Colin who was so good with the grand kiddies. Very pleased with everything.
5m x 4m Single Storey Extension
An amazing quality build that has given us the space we had so been longing for. GBF Construction were involved from conception to completion, giving us complete confidence in the build with informed stages and ‘can do’ attitude through the project and stayed on budget.Graham and his team consideration to our fellow neighbours was exceptional, not prompted and duly noted. The team were considerate, polite and respectful that we had to continue living in the property during the work. Our build is amazing and we are very proud….. so thank you !
Extension and reconfiguration of the original bungalow
We have done a large project on a dated bungalow, extending it at the rear, reconfiguring the inside. GBF were a pleasure to have on site and guided us through some testing times through Covid as we faced other contractors on site letting us down, this was never the case with Graham and his team. When they were on site especially Darren everything ran smoothly and the employees were polite and always willing to explain anything to us and assist on resolving any unforeseen hurdles during the build. I would recommend them to anyone thinking of doing the same kind of work.
Conversion of old stable
Highly recommend Graham and his team. Completed the job on time to a very high standard. Communication was excellent through out. Worked really well around the issues of both Covid and Brexit and was very fair in regards to all price fluctuations. Overall a very friendly but professional team!
