He did a bad job, he laid the flooring but it was no good, the flooring is poorly installed. They asked for the ceiling and walls to be smooth, but they didn't do it; they broke part of the kitchen. He broke two brooms and didn't even apologize. The floor was practically destroyed; in one part, the floor was sinking. They applied silicone to hold it together. He says one thing and then another; the painting isn't 90% good. You say one thing upfront and then say another later.Be careful with your money. I wouldn't hire him even if he were my last job.On the plus side, they pay attention.
Response from G Mckenzie Maintenance
We advised several times that the LVT flooring should be installed only after plumbing was completed and without underlay, as underlay can cause movement and damage locking clips. Despite this, we were asked to proceed. The flooring was later lifted for plumbing works, causing damage to the fragile locking system, and we returned to relay it. We installed only the flooring, not the subfloor or joists. Walls and ceilings were prepared and painted within the agreed scope; replastering was not included. We also completed additional flooring work free of charge as a goodwill gesture.
