Booked this firm to do a landlord safety check April 2026 on a 1980's 1 bed house in Plymstock. This firm failed the electrics and gave me an estimate of nearly £800 to rectify. Suspecting I was being ripped off, I researched the regs, the bathroom light he wanted to replace was too far away and too far up from the shower area to need changing, the 16mm electrical tails that run from the supply to the 2019 installed smart meter by Eon were fine (and reconnected by Eon) as there's no EV charging point, another experienced electrician passed the same electrics a week later.
