I asked for EICR safety certs on 6 flats and one landlords supply. It has taken two and a half months since doing the work to get the certificates. The engineer insisted that a PVC Consumer in the main escape route ws a C2 and not a C3 problem. This was the difference between a satisfactory and unsatisfactory result and whether or not serious work was required on the unit. I disagreed with this result but they did not change it. I asked several other Electricians their views and nobody agreed that it was a C2 not C3. I recommend not using this company for EICR safety certificates
Response from Griffiths Technical Ltd
We believe this feedback is unfair. The test was completed by a Fully Certified 18th Edition Electrician who is also our NICEIC Qualified Supervisor. The coding we recommended is down to the Engineers interpretation and the Landlord disagreed, due to obvious financial implications. This is why the certificate was delayed, as the Landlord disagreed with our assessment and therefore, refused to pay for the works. Eventually a resolution was met, but the delay mentioned was not caused by us.
