    Ground Designs (Dean Joynes and Rob) did a fantastic job of replacing our very old and tired tarmacadam driveway with block paving and installed a retaining wall on one side as there was a considerable slope. Dean and Rob worked tirelessly in the heat of August/September and always tidied up after each day. We a delighted with the end result. This was Dean's second project for us and we cannot recommend Ground Designs highly enough.

    Would recommend Dean Owen and Luke to anyone who is looking for ideas and how to design the garden Dean was very professional throughout. He was very helpful and recommended some good ideas. Luke and Owen worked really hard for the two weeks that they were at our property. They showed respect. Very welcome and very approachable. They were not the cheapest company but we were glad we went with them in the end. Even when we changed our minds throughout the project they were happy to comply with our wishes we were very pleased with the end product I would definitely use them in the future .

Ground Designs was formed in 2006 by Gary Joynes, who has over 40 years’ experience in the trade of complete landscaping. Dean, who has worked for Gary as his right-hand man for over ten years, now owns and runs the business. 

We are keen to provide an outstanding service to our customers, whatever the size of the job, from total design makeovers to general garden maintenance.


Ground Designs operates as one dedicated, professional landscape team.

This ensures you benefit from first class service and expertise from start to finish.

We concentrate on doing one job at a time which means we get booked up very quickly, so please bear this in mind when planning work in your garden.

Demand for our services is increasing and lead-in times can be up to five months, but Customer Feedback confirms we are worth waiting for.

As always, you get what you pay for. If you want a first class job allow plenty of time so that you receive the best workmanship and customer service.

For small scale jobs we may be able to fit them in between larger projects, so please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements.
