Securing a mains water pipe that was under strain
Excellent service. Not a big job but they fitted me in the very next day as I was very worried about a possible leak. Dealt with the problem and left me with peace of mind.

Emergency Central Heating Repair

Pipe burst in kitchen.
I have used Gulvin's Plumbing for various jobs over the last few years after previously having tried numerous other plumbers. Ashley Gulvin is unusual because he actually replies to messages and doesn't miss appointments. He recently installed a new central heating boiler for us with minimal disruption and mess. However I am writing this review because I had to contact him recently when the main water pipe into the house burst just above the stopcock. Ashley immediately dispatched his very able apprentice, Charlie, who fixed it within the hour.

Boiler service
Excellent. We have our boiler serviced annually but tried someone new this time as the last person who serviced suggested we needed a new boiler and we weren't totally convinced. Gulvins confirmed that not only was our boiler not in need of replacement but also spotted that it was missing something that hasn't been spotted in all previous services! The price was reasonable and the engineer very pleasant and helpful. We won't use anyone else now.

Disconnected 2 gas appliances and one central heating component.
As well as attending for a preplanned appointment to remove both a gas hob and fire Ashley kindly returned for a further, extremely short notice, instance to assist with an unanticipated additional task. Without his prefessional service and assistance the installation of our new kitchen would have been extremely disrupted.
