  Conscientious workers

  I would recommend Handy Home Maintenance. Once a date was agreed for the work to be carried out they showed up on time and worked flat out. Unexpectedly the work did not take two days, but only one. They did NOT cut corners, but invariably applied the highest standards. What I really appreciated was that they did not mind me being present while they worked on. So we could discuss ongoing issues, small things such as where electrical wires were due to go and which cement they were using. Conscientious attention to detail and a fine display of assiduity are their hallmarks.

  Extensions / Conversions

  Demolition of old extension, building of new extension and expansion into a new kitchen diner

  Since conception Dave has been outstanding, he gave free advice during the quotation stage, offered local examples of previous work within the village. I spoke to a previous client who gave a glowing recommendation. During the building work Dave has been punctual, neat, caring, supportive but questioning Tom make sure the best solution was being explored to make the build the best it could be. The new kitchen units are of high quality and all work by subcontractors (electrical, plumbing & plastering) have been completed to high standards, overseen by Dave.

  Full house refurbishment and loft conversion……..excellent work!

  We can’t recommend Dave highly enough! His communication throughout has been excellent. He has gone above and beyond, and showed genuine care and diligence in his work. Dave managed and led all aspects of the works, bringing in and directing all other trades as needed. Dave also provided valuable expertise on design aspects, improving elements based on his considerable experience. On top of all this we found Dave to be friendly, trustworthy, funny and kind. Thoroughly pleased with our lovely new home and so glad we picked Dave to lead this project.

  Bathrooms

  Rip out existing bathroom and replace with new shower, basin and WC. Tiling and decorating.

  Dave and his colleague were prompt, professional and helpful. They explained to us what they were doing at each step and tidied up after themselves each day. Very happy with the workmanship and would happily recommend them to others.

  Bedroom refurbishment with bespoke wardrobes

  Very happy with my new bedroom. Dave built bespoke wardrobes for me with new coving, new radiator and removed a chimney breast. The room was very cold so Dave reinsulated and replastered the whole room. Dave is a very nice man and I am so pleased with the result.

  Replace leaking roof

  Unfortunately for the roofer he chose one of the hottest days of the year to remove the existing tiles and cover to make watertight. They would not be beaten though and persevered drinking loads of water to keep going much to my admiration. All work was completed efficiently and courteously.
