    Garage Conversion into Child’s Playroom

    Amazing build and service once again! I used Heathermount Construction last year for a patio extension and used them again this year for a full garage into a playroom conversion. The job was a large one; screeding floors, insulation, stud walls, doors and windows, heating, electrics, plasterboard and plastering, flooring and skirting. Abbi managed the whole project and coordinated the trades expertly. We were kept well informed throughout all the work carried out was excellent. Simon did the vast majority of the build and his workmanship and finish is to a very very high standard. 10/10

    Raise ground level and extend existing patio

    Fantastic from start to finish. Simon and Abbi came round to view the property and discuss the project in detail. The project was to extend our existing Indian Sandstone patio in the rear garden. The ground needed to be raised a foot and half with concrete and a brick supporting wall to be built to match our existing patio. Abbi is a great project manager (even on a small job like this!) Simon is an expert builder, his workmanship is top notch! Very happy with the result and going to use them again on our next project.

    Complete Driveway and Raised Garden Wall for Flower Beds

    Light Foot and Sons did an excellent job preparing the area for our new driveway including the build of decorative garden walls for flower beds. He is very hard working and met his daily targets in every way. Simon has very high standards and I could not fault his workmanship. He is very polite and trustworthy. I even gave him the keys to my property. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the finished driveway and I cannot thank him enough. We have used this company before to build our kitchen extension and large garden patio. Once again many thanks to Simon and his labourer Matty.

Heathermount Construction Ltd was formed in 2021 and is run by father and daughter, Simon and Abbi, who have over 50 years combined experience within the building and project management industry. Heathermount are based in Totton and cover the New Forest, Waterside and all surrounding areas of the M27 corridor.

Simon (formerly known via Lightfoot & Son Builders) started his career as a bricklayer, and over (many!) years has built a strong reputation for his building and project management abilities. Abbi has worked both in the public and private housing sector leading on property management, repair services and house refurbishments. Throughout the years she has specialised in working with customers who have specific mobility and mental health needs as well as working with clients needing additional eye to detail due to the high end nature of the projects she has been asked to deliver. Simon takes the lead on site, whilst Abbi takes the lead in the office. Together they pull your project together whilst working with, and for you.


Heathermount are able to take on pretty much all aspects of building, and no job is too big or too small to make an enquiry with us. We specialise in: access ramps, disabled adaptations, internal renovations and refurbishments, extensions, loft conversions, brickwork, roofing, landscaping and drainage. Your type of project not on the list? No problem. We're happy to talk through your requirements and advise on how we can best get your project off the ground.
