H&E Glazing agreed to replace my sun-damaged conservatory roof with new materials, which I'd previously purchased. They didn't smooth the gutter line sealant and left gaps (which I finished off myself). They screwed the gutter directly back on the frame without using the existing brackets (which were in good condition), and the pitch of the roofing panels is misaligned. They offered to come back but wanted to send the same fitter who'd done such a sub-standard job in the first place. I'm still waiting for an invoice and workmanship guarantee. Avoid H&E Glazing, to avoid disappointment!
Response from H&E Glazing Ltd
This is disappointing to read as it doesn’t reflect the full picture. You supplied your own materials advising a 2–3 hour job; on arrival, materials were not correct & the work was far greater, costing us half a day. We returned for a full day at a later date. When you raised concerns, we responded within 24 hours & offered to return, but you refused and carried out additional work yourself. Unfortunately, third party work after the fact voids any workmanship guarantee. As a small family business, we always offer the chance to put things right which was declined from the beginning.
