Quoted £140 to sort out boiler, charged £220. Hot water worked for all of 10 minutes after he left. Clearly he’d done a simple reset and charged us extra for the privilege. Our boiler is in the loft so it was hard to see what he was doing. My other half is off work with an infection and we have a disabled 4 year old son. He massively took advantage. We’ve tried to contact him to resolve the issue, he answered the phone once and admitted that he’s not confident with baxi boilers?! Absolute conman!! Oil burner service
I met Henry in May 2024 when he fitted several radiators. I contacted him again in October to service my oil burner, which was a costly error. When they say experience matters - this couldn’t more true with Henry. His inexperience when ‘servicing’ our boiler cost me dearly. The newly appointed (experienced) engineer confirmed that the boiler wasn’t actually serviced by Henry in accordance with the manufactures handbook. He then asked to see the service report that Henry had left. Henry didn’t leave this report and since January 2025 I’ve been asking him for this, to which he’s ignored me. Fitting pipe work, shower and sink to garden room
Henry left me in the lurch, ghosted me (an already established customer!) = unprofessional, and it turns out failed to fit a safety valve/lever to pressure cylinder, = unprofessional, caused me massive inconvenience by not turning up when he said he was going to = unprofessional.He might have some plumbing skills but he needs further training in communication skills and running his own business. He tried to overcharge me by £1000 and when challenged on this responded three months later saying he’d ‘made a mistake with his sums’ = unprofessional. Bathtub siphon replacement

Despite his friendly demeanor, Henry struggled with complex installations, notably evident during the reattachment of the bathtub panel, which took an additional five hours and was left improperly fitted. The hourly rate surpassed initial expectations, resulting in a higher bill. This underscores the importance of clarity on costs and expectations.
