Gutter repair and new down pipe

They’ve made the problem worse. They have chopped into my gutter and created a leak. They’ve been back and the leak is now even worse than before. There is now a structural weakness in the gutter so it needs a new one. They want me to pay for it. They’re saying that there’s no guarantees on repairs which is false because I am eligible for a level of workmanship which has not been completed. I really don’t want to complain but I now need to pay for a full gutter and I’m also down £180.

  Response from HighClad Roofing LTD

We feel it is important to clarify the situation. You requested a repair to the existing gutter rather than replacement, which we discussed with you. The £180 price also included a new downpipe and hopper head to another area which is working fine so all cost is certainly not lost. Unfortunately, the repair has not resolved the issue as hoped, and we have already returned on two separate occasions to try to help. Sometimes, with existing guttering, the underlying condition means replacement is ultimately required. We have tried to resolve this and remain happy to discuss the matter further.

  Chimneys Repair

  Chimney cap & repair

Highclad Roofing capped and repointed our sad old chimney stack. Communication was easy, price was competitive and best of all the lads who carried out the work were polite, helpful and very tidy - which makes a massive difference. Would have them back to carry out more work when needed. Thank you
