Dominic and Paul have 40yrs of experience in the building trade.
We both are carpenters by trade so we specialise in all areas of carpentry work. We have worked together on and off for the last 17 years for other builders in the Brighton & Hove area.
We became business partners 10 years ago and about a 5 years ago we started HM carpentry & building service Ltd.
We now offer a complete building service for:

Removing wall between dining room and kitchen
We were delighted with the result and felt very comfortable with Paul and his team in the house. Would definitely recommend them!
Repair failed brick sleeper wall/reset floor joists to original position
Friendly and business-like. On inspection, work required was found to be different to that quoted for, but the guys had come prepared and carried out the work for the originally quoted price. All works were made good and the original boards re-laid with little sign that they had even been lifted.
Building a new banister
Paul and Dom are brilliant. We got a quote we were happy with and the work went ahead not too long after. We are so happy with our new banister. It looks fantastic. Matches what we wanted perfectly. House was left tidy after too. Would definitely recommend. We will use Dom and Paul again.
Remove 2 x chimney breasts and install steel beams and make good walls
I found this company on Check a trade and Dom and Paul were responsive and quick to arrange a quote. Paul got back with a written quote really quickly, we struggled to get any other builders to this! Paul was easy to communicate with and very straight forward to deal, always remembered details of discussions and communicating timescales. He explained any issues or competing demands. The work was completed quickly, and efficiently and good efforts were made Cleaning up. Paul liaised directly with building control and ensuring the work was signed off. We would recommend And would use again
Install new drainage for downstairs WC.
Installed new pipework for downstairs toilet through garage and connected to existing drainage system. This involved digging a trench through the garage to the outside. Dom liaised with the building inspector to sort out connection problem, which they resolved by installing an inspection chamber in the garage. Tested drain and found no issues. All work carried out to a good standard. Even the building inspector said it looked "like a tidy job". Very happy with the work undertaken by the team. Amount invoiced was exactly as quoted, even though the job turned out to be quite a task.
Hang 11 doors, replace stair rail with glass, block up cupboard/plasterboard/form new wardrobe.
We were very pleased with the work carried out, which was to a high standard. Dom and Paul covered all carpets with plastic sheeting, including walkways. Any mess was cleared up at the end of each day. They were very obliging when problems arose and did their best to overcome them. Prices invoiced were exactly as quoted. We would highly recommend HM Carpentry.
