  Russell laid a wooden flooring in my lounge which was completed yesterday. He did an excellent job which required extra, not expected, complicated work which he did very efficiently. I thoroughly recommend Russell for any work.

  Beautiful oak steps

  Russell installed some oak steps in our home, and a dado rail in our hallway. We had previously had issues with the steps not being done how we wanted by someone else, and had been told they couldn’t be designed how we wanted. Russell listened to what we wanted and advised on the best way to achieve the desired design. He consistently checked in with us to ensure we were happy with what he was doing which was really refreshing and meant the steps now look as intended. Would really recommend Russell and have more jobs booked in with him for this year.

  The perfect garden room

  Russell built a garden room for me,he did a very professional job at a reasonable price. Was easy to communicate with all the way through the build and nothing was too much trouble for him. Overall very happy with him.

  Kitchen fitting and door replacement

  HR Contracts have worked on two separate projects for us, the fitting of a new kitchen and the replacement of all our interior doors. The work was carried out efficiently and to a very high standard. Communication has always been friendly and quick.

  Howden’s kitchen fit to a small annex

  Initially some very good impressions from the team here and were very accommodating and with a quick install date. The first day impressions were good and the units went in perfectly, however on the second when it became time to do the worktop, the property was left in a poor standard of finish. Metal edging strips were not filed down, long parcel marks left of the wall, laminate edging strips were either not cut straight or chipped, filler left untidy in joints and a 15mm hole left in the plaster which when questioned the reply was “well you could put some filler in it”.

  I’m really sorry you feel this way, I’m not sure what you mean by the edging strips where not filed down, they come finished and smooth. Yes there was two small pencil marks on the wall, but I explained to you that I need to mark out things on the wall to drill and draw level lines. I said my plumber would fill the small hole but you said that you would do it. I’ve always had good responses to my work as you can see in my reviews.
