I reached out to Ben for a new floor to be fitted in a commercial property in the centre of York. Ben carried out an initial visit to survey the work required and was very helpful with advice regarding the current condition of the joists and also the most suitable materials required to complete the work. He provided a detailed quote and undertook the work to a high standard on the agreed date arriving on time. Ben is polite, very knowledgeable and experienced and as a result I now have him booked in to carry out some further work. Highly recommended!

I reached out to HR Joinery and Home Improvements for a part garage conversion into a home office. Ben promptly responded, measured up and offered a good quote a start date. He’s punctual, polite, hardworking and highly skilled. The work was completed to a very high standard within a great timeframe. Ben coordinated well with other tradesmen for the plumbing, plastering and painting elements of the job and nothing was too much trouble. Ben did another great job for us taking out a carpet and old flooring and then installing a new engineered wood floor, boxing radiators, skirting boards and wainscotting. It has made a huge difference to our downstairs and he worked really hard to get the job finished before Christmas. Always a pleasure to deal with and a fair price.

Ben is an excellent tradesman. No shortcuts or skimping. He went out of his way to finish the job including negotiation to get me a refund on materials that reduced the overall cost. Ben offered a smart solution to an annoying problem and carried out the work to a great standard. He went even further and carried out a repair to my garage roof when he noticed a defect.
