    Remodelled en-suite to an extension

    Posted 31 May 2020

Had the two workers come to remodel our en-suite bathroom into an extension of our bedroom. The boys were punctual, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. They explained the process to us along with possible alternatives to how the final product could look. . The finished product was outstanding. The bedroom looks great; better than we had actually anticipated. In addition to this, the men also helped hang some items along our wall. They genuinely went above and beyond and the price was spot on. I could not recommend them enough and my wife and I will continue to use them in future.

Boiler moved and new radiator fitted

    Posted 21 August 2019

Both workers went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and aware of all work that was going on. They were comfortable to have in the house. They also gave advice on things we weren’t sure of. All work completed looks very professional and to a high quality. Would highly recommend.

Both Nicky and his father-in-law Brian were great in all aspects from first meeting and supplying us with a quick quotation and to them carrying out the installation. They are a great company to deal with and the work carried out is to the highest standard. Highly recommend them.

    Issues with shower temperature

    Posted 25 June 2019

Before the job I set out clearly by email what steps I had already taken to rectify the issue including buying/installing a new thermostatic mixer. Upon visiting, the individuals concerned on 4 occasions kept suggesting the mixer was the solution when I knew it not to be. They then proceeded to tamper with the existing mixer, breaking it, before capping off the water and fleeing the scene. I had to buy and fit a new mixer myself just to have a working shower and the issue has not been resolved as the mixer was never the issue. The problem was unfixed and put me at unnecessary added cost.

Response from Hunt Stephenson Plumbing & Heating Ltd

We cannot comprehend why the customer has written this review of our company. Our tidiness, courtesy and reliability on every occasion is 100%, this is who we are, we even removed our work shoes whilst inside the property. Although the customer informed us of the work he carried out, the actual shower mixer was faulty, as we demonstrated two defects. A previous plumber had attended who stated the hot/cold feeds were the wrong way around. We investigated and demonstrated that the actual feeds were the correct way. The customer and another plumber had attempted to work on the shower prior to our arrival. We felt it was best practice not to re-install the faulty shower mixer, as it would not be in the best interest of the customer (possible scalding). We informed the customer of the cap off and asked him how he would like us to proceed ie: whether he wanted us to re-assemble/source a mixer value, to which he responded no. We cannot comment further as we do not know the type of valve he has purchased, and he does not wish us to have further contact, we were unable to resolve this issue due to this.
