  • Two flats converted to one house

    The guys have helped us convert two flats back in one house for us over the last 6 months. Adam and Todd have managed the whole project smoothly keeping us as calm as possible during quite extensive work. The work has been extremely good and came in pretty much on budget with the exceptions of things that couldn't be helped, they always tried to help find the most economical way around issues as they new we were a tight budget. Not only were Todd and Adam great but the team they employ were all a pleasure to be around, polite, quiet and the most tidy builders we have ever met!

    Knowledgeable, professional and hard working. Good atmosphere on site and caring with apprentices. They’re organised, bringing the right staff for the jobs, all their tools, materials and lunches, so no time wasted. They’re punctual and we’ve never had to chase them. We’ve used them twice on our projects and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and use again.

    Remove old roof, take out support walls, new timber roof construction with x4 roof lights, weatherproof with new EDPM roof, re-work guttering, leave site tidy. It is difficult to find people like Todd. His attitude to the job is first class and he takes real pride in his work. If you can get him to work for you, him being extremely busy, it’s very unlikely you’ll regret it.

    ICD had a big job replicating and fitting large Edwardian style skirting boards under dining and sitting room bay windows. They also repaired and replaced broken floorboards, trimming 7 doors over two floors, to work with new plumbing pipework, for new carpets being fitted. The lads were great company, fantastic problem solvers and provided an excellent service. They worked incredibly hard to get our jobs done in time for other trades due in after them. They were so easy to have in the house and always left the place immaculate. We will 100% use them again, highly recommend for any job.

Adam and Todd are both working carpenters and together run Ideal Carpentry and Design Limited. They have 32 collective years of carpentry and building experience, priding ourselves on providing a professional and high quality service, with client satisfaction being at the forefront of every project.


We specialise in all aspects of site carpentry 1st and 2nd fix, from pitching roofs to fitting kitchens.
