During our move this Saturday, the 22nd of June service that was provided was very low. First of all fragile items were not handled with care , there are damages on the corners of furniture and tables. Also we have quite expensive set of white furniture, that was custom made( sofa and armchair). It’s light colour, it is completely dirty everywhere, corners are scratched. We will need to professionally clean it all now. Then your driver parked the van, where he shouldn’t park due to restrictions he received a £55 ticket fine. To be honest, I don’t understand why do we need to pay for it.
Response from Izzy Removals Ltd
All customers are made aware, both over the phone and in writing that parking in front of their properties is NOT our responsibility and they have to cover any potential parking charges.
Customer refused to apply for a parking suspension from Richmond council.
There was an option to park 200m away from the new property without a ticket, however this would have made the service a lot more expensive.
The customer never requested a packing service and advised that everything will be packed and ready to go on the day of the move. She could have asked the team to wrap the sofa and armchair in shrink wrap, which we provide for Free, but she did not.
Furthermore, there is no actual damage to the sofa and armchair, they just require cleaning.
In regards to the other items she points out, they were with minor scratches on the corners when the team arrived. She did not provide any photographic evidence that the removal team damaged them.
Overall, the customer was quite rude on the moving day and this is not an attitude we tolerate, however the service was done as best as possible and we did not waste any time.
