• Attic strengthening, plastering, flat roof replacement

  Fantastic job by Jim and team. Punctual, professional, very friendly, very tidy. They strengthened an attic conversion done by the previous owners and replaced missing support beams which the old owners had removed. A leaky flat roof on a garage conversion was also replaced, an outdoor passageway damaged by the leak was secured, fixed, and plastered, and a living room support beam was checked for suitability and made resistant against fire + replastered. Very satisfied with the work done and advice given, highly recommended. Thank you!

• Correcting issues with knock-through botched by previous DIYer owner

  Worried by cracks in the living room we called Jim, who called the issue even before the dodgy brickwork was revealed - lack of support after a wall was knocked through. We duly went with Jim and are so glad we did - he added a steel RSJ plus concrete lintel and repaired the faulty brickwork, aided by his sons David, who dealt with the joinery and ceiling coping, and James, who did an exemplary job with the plastering. They all arrived on time, religiously stuck to the quote, happily moved furniture, cleaned up afterwards and could not have been more helpful. Cannot recommend highly enough!

• RSJ / Wall Demolition

  Jim and his team once again provided excellent building services and advice. We had a supporting wall between kitchen and lounge removed and RSJ fitted. Jim talked us through building regulations which was a great reassurance. The work was completed in a timely fashion and we will definitely use Jim and his team again (if they’re not too busy!) Overall a brilliant builder who I would recommend to anyone in need of a reliable and friendly service.

• Advice on cracked brickwork

  I contacted Jim on the back of a structural survey report on my property. I was trying to understand the works required to secure a sale. Having no real idea what the report was stating needed to be done and trying to agree the scope of works with the buyer, I reached out to Jim through here. He was incredibly helpful, advising me on what needs to be done (more importantly what didn’t need to be done). Honestly saved me thousands of pounds. • Ceiling Repair
