  A short-notice job while scaffolding up and 27 March the only day with no rain forecast. 2 painters came to quote the day before. I chose John as less expensive. He arrived on time before I went out. He saw the underside of the gutter needed cleaning which I was pleased he did. On my return John had already finished and left. Everything was left tidy. But the colour was quite wrong - not at all John's fault - a mixing error. The paint shop replaced the paint but John couldn't return for 2 days. I would have had him back if I hadn't found someone else to come that day while sun was shining.
