Very high standard, totally recommended
Jay did the most wonderful job painting the entire upstairs of my house, when I was wanting to give it a much needed rejuvenation before selling . He was the perfect person for the job with his really thorough attention to detail producing a most fantastic finish. He actually did a magical job literally transforming the teenagers den of hell into a now serene yoga space. And, worked wonders with immaculate repair work in the basement too. As someone mentioned, Jay is perhaps not the cheapest painter & decorator but his work is such high standard, its actually great value. I totally recommend.Verified reviewerJob location: BN110 Exterior Painting

Repaint two bed house and lay laminate flooring
Jay was great. Work carried out to a high standard, left the house tidy and communicated well throughout on any issues arising. Flooring wasn't part of the initial work and something I was initially expecting to go out to a different trade on but given Jay had done such a nice job on the painting I offered it to him and he did a great job on that too.Verified reviewerJob location: RH12RChris S10 Painting / Decorating

Terrible.
Awful experience. He left the job unfinished after realising it would take a lot more time (and money) than he said it would. (Still charged me 2/3 the original amount.) The worst thing is that he put masking tape on the walls, and when I took it off, all the paint came off in huge stripes in two rooms. I so wish I hadn't hired him.Job location: BN1RViktoria GResponse from JP Paint & Repairs
I do think it’s a slight embellishment to what happened. You asked me to see what I could do in half a day. About 3 and half hours in we discussed this would take more time and more paint stripper. Although you were happy with what was done in that time, you wanted to continue yourself. I suggested just paying 2 hours plus materials. You paid 2 hours and no materials. The tape was a Masq low tack masking tape and shouldn’t cause paint to peel. I asked to remove the tape when leaving but you insisted you’d do that. I assume the tape was stuck on for too long as you messaged me two day’s later
