  I was contacted promptly with an offer to quote and John jnr. Turned up promptly on a Saturday morning and after discussion the quote was competitive and the job was completed this morning. The job has been carried out to a superb standard all of the young men were very polite and they left the site very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend

  John (Both Senior and Junior! - ably assisted with two young apprentices) were a delight to work with from start to finish! From response to quote request, prior-to-site communications, prompt scope of works quote assessment and a value for money proposition, to the removal and maintenance on the day and the tidiest of finishes, I'd have no hesitation, whatsoever in recommending J Smith Tree Surgery of Rugby. Family friendly courtesy and politeness at all times, John (Jnr.) was highly skilled and experienced and the entire team was super-efficient reflecting exactly what the agreed scope was. Hoorah!

• Fencing and tree removal

  I was quoted to have an area of bushes and a tree removed, plus fence panels replaced. Shrubs, ivy and tree stumps remained, plus one old panel. I asked John when he'll remove the stumps and shrubs. He said he wasn't doing that. This was a severe miscommunication as I thought the high cost of the quote was part of it. Lastly, admittedly my garden was a mess, but his workforce decided to leave their empty drinks bottles and cans in my garden as they rushed off at the end of the day. All in all, I feel I was heavily over-quoted for the work and I've had to hire someone else to finish the job.

  Excellent friendly service. Quick to respond and they were able to fit the job in within 1 week of initial contact. Everywhere has been cleaned up, you’d barely know they’d been here and they did exactly what we asked them to do to a very high standard. They talked us through the work at the end, showing us what had been done and explaining why they had done it in the way they had. They gave us excellent advice on things we could do ourselves. Would definitely recommend.
