Jamie replaced our wood chip kitchen work surfaces with quartz. The work was very well planned, prepared and completed on schedule. He liaised with Harherley Worktops to undertake the work. We are delighted with the outcome. He was good company whilst doing the work and we recommend him without reservation.

I initially contacted Jamie through Checkatrade as I wanted to replace the cupboard doors in our utility room and fit a new dishwasher. Jamie phoned the same day, visited within 48 hours and provided a quote two days later. Fortunately he was able to fit our work in a week later. Jamie is an old-school craftsman - he tells you what he is going to do and does it when he says he is going to do it at the price you have agreed - such a refreshing change! I would not hesitate to recommend Jamie's services

I found jamie via Checkatrade and am so thankful for all his amazing knowledge and craftsmanship. He was originally coming to fit worktops but upon inspection seen that we had unfortunately been victim to an amateur tradesman. He re fitted the new kitchen, plumbed the sink, washing machine, dishwasher and fitted the compact laminate worktops. He came at short notice and was sympathetic to our situation especially knowing we were due to have a baby in a few weeks' time! I must also add at the end of every day he left the space immaculately tidy and clean. I would highly recommend JT Godwin!

Jamie was a pleasure to work with, very professional he explained the timeframe and detailed all the work that was required. Jamie’s work is to an extremely high standard, bespoke finish that fitted the space perfectly. I would highly recommend Jamie to anyone looking for any bespoke carpentry work.

After an horrendous experience with IKEA and their contractors, fitting our last kitchen, my wife wanted me to fit our new units. Whilst I was happy to fit the base and wall units (excellent pre assembled Benchmark units) I know my limitations and wasn’t prepared to attempt the worktops. We knew Jamie and asked him to do the worktops for us and his work was immaculate. Where there were areas of uncertainty he gave us options and suggestions and, as a result, we now have the kitchen my wife deserves. He also fitted a wall fillet, which would have been very difficult for me. Many thanks Jamie!

I had some compact laminate which had been cut incorrectly in almost every aspect, and so I hired Jamie to come and recut and fit the worktop and splash back on-site. Jamie came and quoted almost immediately and managed to do the job a week or so later, ensuring we had a working kitchen without delay. I know compact laminate isn’t the easiest to work with and Jamie was highly attentive, achieving a great finish which we’re delighted with. I’d have no hesitation using Jamie again for any carpentry or kitchen fitting in the future.
