During the inspection we discovered this poor installation done by a DIY`er. this was disconnected and rectified
DIY dave has been at it again, unfortunately the homeowner inherited this bodge from a previous owner. single insulated cable taped up.
We had a broken ring on one circuit. its always important that joint boxes are kept accessible for future inspection and this proves why.
Melting caused by thermal damage from a loose connection. increased carbon build up over years and evidence of arcing lead to the ring circuit becoming non continuous.
