Very disappointing service, quality of work was poor, we had to pay another carpenter to correct some of the bad workmanship. Requested a large amount of money for basic wood purchases and refused to provide receipts. Definitely would not recommend.

I was handed a set of keys to the bungalow to unlock/lock up daily also to give access to other trades & take in personnel deliveries for the owners. I started @ 07.30am & worked till 4pm or later daily without breaks. All materials old & new were always stacked tidy, along with the bin bags of wood offcuts & sawdust (I swept up daily) During the works the customer said how pleased they were with all the work that I was doing Extra materials/doors/fittings were required when I was asked why the materials were so expensive I explained the doors/fittings were special order & after Brexit/Covid the cost of building materials had risen considerably & all are subject to 20% VAT, Unfortunately, I cannot supply receipts as the goods were purchase on my trade accounts & contain personnel information also, I need all invoices for my accounts. On completion, all my work was inspected by the customers to make sure all was completed to their satisfaction, no defects or incomplete works were identified at this time. Prior to leaving I was asked if I would be prepared to return after they moved in to attend to any addition works.
