Various jobs required doing. Exactly right for a handyman service. But no response
Absolutely no response to messages left on landline , mobile and WhatsApp over a few week period. At least a full days work worth of small jobs. If service had proved adequate possibility of further work in the future. E,g full decoration of 2 bed flat, replacement of floor etc. but due to lack of response to even give a price, despite several attempts to make contact wouldn’t even consider using them, if their work is as shoddy as their response rate best to be avoidedVerified reviewerJob location: CT101 Carpenter

Putting up a basic porch structure

Bathroom ceiling scraped repaired and painted
Ceiling should have had paint scraped off , ceiling sealed , hole filled and ceiling repainted. Ceiling was not scraped or sealed hole not repaired. Just painted over and of course paint is flaking off.Verified reviewerJob location: CT16Response from Kent Handyman Service
We scraped sealed and painted ceiling with special bathroom paint, We understand that there is an underline issue with the ceiling as the customer was also aware, We offered to go back and re do the ceiling for the customer as he had not paid us for it yet, Just as we was about to return the country went into lock down, Now that we have come out of lock down work has picked up and did not hear from customer for a while till beginning of August, we agreed to go back to do it again but would have to wait a few weeks and was happy to book this in for them, He was not happy to wait and now wants to take us to court, What a silly customer, We have not refused to re paint the ceiling and as he still owes us money. I just don’t understand some people, I’m sure the judge will see this.

Removal of a broken shed from elderly ladies garden and removal of the base unit. Job fully explained and understood and included in the quote.
He removed the stacked broken parts of the shed, but left the base unit. Customer called and left messages but no response. So elderly neighbour asked for help. Spoke to owner who said he didn’t have the tools to complete the job, but if I could break it up he would return and collect. I decided to do this so she could get on with her garden whilst in isolation. Called owner to say I had placed the wood in my driveway and was told it would be collected on 7th May. We did call back and left a message and emailed explaining that our truck had broken down and due to lockdown was unable to repair it and would come and collect the leftover rubbish as soon as it was repaired. Sorry if you did not get the message or simply did not believe us but this lockdown has effected everyone.

Bathroom re-fit.

Customer owed us £300 and refused to pay until bath panel was on which we had to re order as customer ordered wrong size. We explained we could not come out for a few days but was not happy about this, Sorry to hear about the leak which I find hard to believe as it has been over 2 months since the install. If you payed your bill and contacted us we would have been more than happy to repair any issues.

Various tasks, shelving, fixing bathroom lights, hanging curtains and mirror etc
