We have been misled by the boasting and reviews on this page. Rod frequently arrived late and left early. Some days he didn't turn up at all. He came in to work during the last 2 weekends while it was inconvenient for us. He reacted angrily to our questions and disrupted the peace of our family life. The walls have not even been smoothed before painting. The shower door fitting has been poorly thought and is limiting our everyday use. The old weathered plastic board used for the windowsill is unhygienic. ...
We were without shower or basin for over a month, without toilets for over a week.
Response from Kingswood Property Maintenance
I am sorry to hear the client remains unhappy despite our response to their concerns and the goodwill gesture reducing the charge made for the work completed.
Our exchanges, mostly by email and text, were always professional. All exchanges were responded to positively by the client.
Working hours were appropriate to the tasks in hand; unforeseen absences due to necessary van repairs were communicated.
Weekend work was undertaken to ensure a timely finish, and to not inconvenience other clients following the [client] requested 3 week delay to the start date because of overrunning building works.
An estimate of 3-4 weeks was provided for the new shower installation; this work was completed in 2.5 weeks. Also discussed, and agreed to, was that it was necessary for the toilet to be removed to lay the new floor which due to the materials used, spanned 4 days.
The shower is working as intended; the client has stated dissatisfaction that they cannot operate the temperature control from outside of the shower. The window board used was discussed with, and agreed, by the client.
Snagging was remedied immediately, at no additional cost, and supplementary works to install white goods were completed free of charge.
