We were originally pleased with our newly fitted kitchen, all done within a timely manner. However, like many other customers, as soon as there was a problem Alan was uncontactable by phone. When we caught up with him in the shop he promised us, on several occasions, that he would fix our extractor fan which conked-out shortly after 12th months use. On closer inspection we had discovered that it was incorrectly installed which Alan acknowledged. 12 months further down the line we are still without a working extractor! To say their aftersales and customer care is poor is an understatement!...
Response from Kitchen & Bedroom Workshop Ltd
I can confirm that this was not incorrectly fitted ... the ducting was put in as per the manufacturers instructions but the flexi pipe used above the extractor kinked as the boxing in the cupboard to support the flexi pipe has been removed, presumably by the customer, making the extractor ducting restricted, which in turn has burned out the extractor motor, this has invalidated the guarantee of the extractor. We will swap the extractor but 'someone' will have to pay for the replacement extractor and as it was originally fitted correctly it will not be at our expense.
Unfortunately this is the usual on line 'shaming' that goes on against good companies when someone gets news they don't want to hear.
