9.75Verified ReviewScaffolding was arranged and put up a few days pre installation. The relatively large installation took 3 guys plus the manager on and off, 3 days. It was noisy! The guys installing were great; very polite, hard working and friendly. There was a technical hiccup meaning that the user interface to the system was delayed by a few days but that was no issue, the solar worked. The manager took us through a simple system to enable us to have oversight of the input/output. All in all great job, done very professionally. I don't think it was cheap but certainly quality and competitively priced.

I had a project that needed new wires run in a slightly difficult location but once I explained the idea to the electrician, he found a solution to make it work. He left the place tidy and was polite.

We became aware of the company by referral and I was very pleased with the initial interaction via the telephone and the fact that they were able to bring the work date forward. The strength of the paperwork along the way with various insurances was extremely comprehensive. There was one minor hiccup along the way which was dealt with promptly and extremely courteously. Detailed explanation of how to use App and manage settings together with useful knowledge of specialist providers regarding export to grid.

K Jones Electrical has been trading for 18 years previous to that Kevin's father David traded in the Wealden area as a sole trader from 1969. He was qualified as an electrician in 1966, what a year! Kevin was taken on as his apprentice in 1987 and they spent 6 years working together.
Kevin then left to join a lighting maintenance company and worked for them for 10 years and worked his way up to Area Manager. Now Louis, Kevin's son has started his apprenticeship with his father.
We also have several fully qualified electricians that work for the company, 2 of which are qualified to install solar PV. We believe in investing in our staff and keep all their qualifications up to date and we have highly motivated staff who work extremely hard.
We are a Christian company who believe in being 100% honesty in all our business dealings. We believe we provide an exceptional customer service with good communication skills and a very high standard of workmanship is expected from all.
WHATS UP, WITH WATTS UP SOLAR?
We used to be known as Watts Up Solar but our customers found this extremely confusing therefore we have taken the decision to go back to our roots and re-name the business back to K Jones Electrical. We are still using the Watts Up Solar company as our Ltd name but we are officially known as Watts Up Solar t/a K Jones Electrical. There is no change to our Solar customers and we will still honour all our many installations.
Governing Bodies are NIC/EIC fully approved contractors. We choose NIC/EIC because they uphold the highest standard and we believe that we need to aim high in every area of our business.
The range our work we undertake take are as follows:
Emergency call-out for Electrical faults. Re-wires. New Builds. Lighting design for Commercial, Domestic Industrial Solar PV and Electrical. Small scale PV and large scale PV.CCTV. Cat 5 wiring. Lighting control systems. Auto gates. Electrical Testing and inspection (EICR). Electrical energy surveys. Reduction of electrical consumption. Cooker repairs and small works to large scale installations.
